Cindy Flores, LAC
Meet Cindy Flores, LAC
I’m a Licensed Associate Counselor and a graduate of Kean University, where I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I believe you are the expert on yourself, and I’m here to support and work alongside you as you navigate what you may be going through.
My approach is person-centered and collaborative. I draw from approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and ACT-informed interventions, while recognizing that therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all. Together, we’ll find what feels most helpful for you.
I have experience supporting clients through a range of mental health concerns and life experiences, including anxiety, OCD, relationship concerns, and life transitions. My experience includes Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), as well as working in a group practice specializing in OCD and anxiety disorders.
My hope is that you leave therapy feeling understood, supported, and empowered. Life can feel overwhelming at times, and you don’t have to figure everything out on your own.
Outside of session, I enjoy going to the gym, spending a day at the beach, watching a good show or movie, or curling up with a good book and a warm cup of tea. I believe the little things that bring us joy matter, too. I’m bilingual and offer therapy sessions in both English and Spanish.
