Ashlyn Ross, LPC
Ashlyn is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey and holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Monmouth University. She is also a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist, with advanced training in evidence-based approaches that support safe trauma processing, symptom reduction, and long-term resilience.
Ashlyn believes real change happens when people are given a space that feels safe, genuine, and steady, especially during life’s most overwhelming seasons. She has worked with individuals and families in partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient settings, and brings that experience into her work with clients navigating trauma, major life transitions such as postpartum and parenting, relationship stress, and mood or personality-related concerns.
Her goal is to create a supportive environment where clients can explore their stories at their own pace while feeling grounded and empowered. Her therapeutic style is collaborative and authentic; she takes time to truly know each client and tailors treatment to meet their unique needs. Ashlyn believes growth happens through connection and prioritizes building a genuine therapeutic relationship, gently challenging clients when appropriate, and celebrating progress along the way.
Her approach is eclectic and flexible, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Humanistic Therapy, and Psychoanalytic perspectives. Together, she and her clients identify what works best to support meaningful and lasting change.
